Social media can spread benefit quickly, but it can also spread harm faster than a person can repair it. Quran 49:6 gives a verification anchor, Quran 49:11 and 49:12 warn against ridicule, suspicion and backbiting, Quran 17:36 warns against following what one has no knowledge of, and Quran 33:70 calls for upright speech.
Use this guide before reposting a dua, quote, news claim, fundraising request, community warning or private story. Pause long enough to ask what the source is, whether the person is identifiable, whether the wording is accurate, and whether sharing will help or simply amplify anger.

Verify first when possible. If safety is urgent, share only the necessary facts, source and official contact path.
Can I share a screenshot of someone's hardship for fundraising?
Only with permission, accurate context and a trustworthy collection path. Dignity matters more than reach.
What if I already shared something inaccurate?
Correct it clearly, remove the harmful post if needed, and avoid vague apologies that leave the false claim circulating.
