Community announcements often move fast. A date changes, a room is moved, a speaker cancels, a fundraiser total is updated, or a prayer-time adjustment needs to be shared. If the announcement is vague or outdated, people may travel to the wrong place, miss an obligation, donate under confusion or blame the wrong person.
The Quran teaches verifying news, not following what one does not know, upright speech, fulfilling commitments and justice with excellence. For announcements, that means confirming the source, naming the date and time zone, updating the same channels where the old notice appeared, and marking uncertainty instead of pretending every detail is final.

FAQ
Is it enough to edit the original announcement?
Usually no. If people already saw or forwarded it, post a clear correction in the same channels and mark the old version as changed.
What if the announcement is urgent?
Share only the verified urgent part, label what is still unknown and update quickly when the missing detail is confirmed.
Should fundraiser totals be rounded or simplified?
Use careful wording. If a number is approximate, say approximate. For donation claims, accuracy and traceable records matter.
